BEST IN SHOW WINNER International Champion Ringleader Blue of Rainshade was a dog we should have kept! Instead, we exported him to Switzerland in 1980 when he was four months of age. His new owner asked us for a show prospect and we sent one of our best. He fulfilled everyone's dreams.

Ringleader took the show scene by storm and defeated the top Collies of the day. He quickly obtained his Swiss, Italian, Monacan, and International Championship titles. In the limited time he was exhibited, he remained undefeated and earned 5 CACIBs, 5 RCACIBs, 13 CACs, 2 RCACs, in France, Italy, Switzerland, and Monaco, including

BEST IN SHOW.

Princess Grace of Monaco awarded Ringleader his Monocan awards, shortly before her tragic and fatal car accident.

Unfortunately for the Collie world, Ringleader's owner never used him for breeding and never offered him at stud.

We are so glad that we could save some of Ringleader's precious genetics through his full sister Rainshade Alice Blue Gown. We kept Alice here at Rainshade Collies, where she was born and where she lived out her long life and produced several outstanding puppies. Many of today's Rainshade Collies trace back as many as seven or eight generations to Alice.
